In November, Jõhvi City Gallery will showcase the exhibition "The Night Tells Stories", featuring textile artists Ainikki Eiskop, Sirje Raudsepp, and Sigrid Huik, curated by Aime Andresson.

The exhibition opens on Monday, November 4, at 4:00 PM at Jõhvi City Gallery.

As darkness takes hold, we find ourselves drawn to the warmth of our homes, as venturing outside becomes less appealing. Instead, we seek comfort in retreating to bed, awaiting the adventures of the dream world. Dreams, with their inexplicable and elusive mystique, both enchant and unsettle us. Originating from our inner worlds, who or what shapes these wild scenarios? Often, by morning, only a feeling or an atmosphere lingers—something abstract, yet memorable, and worth capturing in creative expression.

In this exhibition, textile artists Ainikki Eiskop, Sirje Raudsepp, and Sigrid Huik explore the relationship between dreams and creativity, offering a glimpse into this magical, indescribable world from various perspectives. Their works feature night visions painted on silk, sometimes distinct in form, yet often expansive and complemented by cushions rich in color and mood. After all, a restful sleep rarely arrives without a pillow.

The artists have been exhibiting together since 2012.
